ISSUED AT 07:30 SUNDAY FEBRUARY 26
VALID FROM : SUNDAY FEBRUARY 26 ‑‑ UNTIL : FRIDAY MARCH 3 2017

GENERAL SYNOPSIS
Occluded front linked to the low system extending southeast of Greenland to Scandinavia will be reaching the Alps from the west while disintegrating, thus causing not really more than a temporary cloudy deterioration in the afternoon. • Very deep low system coming in the vicinity of Scotland by Monday might cause a moderate fœhn wind gradient with the relatively high pressure field which will be remaining over Northern Italy during the main part of the day. • The cold front linked to that low system should trigger moderate to heavy precipitation on Tuesday, allowing for snow in the valley, and will probably cause a severe westerly gale high up as well.
